The Indian embassy in Israel issued a safety advisory on Tuesday for Indian nationals residing in the country, as well as those working in or visiting border areas in northern and southern Israel, urging them to relocate to safe zones within the country.
The advisory stated, “In view of the prevailing security situation and local safety advisories, all Indian nationals in Israel, particularly those in or near border areas in the north and south, are advised to relocate to safe areas within Israel.” It also assured that the embassy is in constant communication with Israeli authorities to ensure the safety of all Indian nationals.
The advisory provided emergency contact information, including the email address of the Tel Aviv consulate and the contact details of the Population and Immigration Authority of Israel.

This precautionary measure follows an incident where an Indian national was killed and two others were injured by an anti-tank missile fired from Lebanon, which shares a border with Israel to the north. The deceased, identified as Patnibin Maxwell from Kollam, Kerala, was among the victims. The injured individuals, Bush Joseph George and Paul Melvin, both from Kerala as well, received medical attention. George underwent surgery at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva and is recovering well, while Melvin sustained minor injuries and was treated at Ziv Hospital in Safed city.
