Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for numerous transformative projects worth ₹32,000 crore in Jammu and Kashmir. These projects encompass various sectors such as health, education, transportation, energy, and civic infrastructure.
During the event, PM Modi inaugurated the first Electric Train in the valley and initiated the train service between Sangaldan station and Baramulla station. The commissioning of the Banihal-Khari-Sumber-Sangaldan section is noteworthy for its usage of Ballast Less Track (BLT), ensuring a better riding experience for passengers.
Approximately 1500 newly recruited government officials received appointment orders from PM Modi during the event. In his address, the Prime Minister expressed unwavering confidence in the potential of Jammu and Kashmir, vowing to fulfill the dreams of its people through the vision of ‘Viksit Jammu and Kashmir‘.
PM Modi expressed his commitment to transforming Jammu and Kashmir, stating, “I have full faith in you, and together we will make ‘Viksit Jammu and Kashmir.’ Your dreams of 70 years will be realized under Modi’s leadership in the coming years.

Highlighting the progress, PM Modi noted, Earlier only disappointing news of bombs, kidnappings and separatism used to come from Jammu and Kashmir but now Jammu and Kashmir is developing and moving forward.
PM Modi attributed the hindrance in the development of Jammu and Kashmir to the now-scrapped Article 370 of the Indian Constitution. He emphasized that the region is now progressing towards overall development since the abrogation of Article 370.
Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Minister Jitendra Singh, and prominent BJP leaders including J-K unit president Ravinder Raina attended the event. Sinha acknowledged the significant reduction in incidents of terrorism, citing a 75% decrease.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh credited the end of appeasement politics and the empowerment of marginalized communities under PM Modi’s leadership. He emphasized After removing Article 370 you proved ‘Modi hai to mumkin hai’.
